Starting a blog?

So... tell me. How does one start a blog? I only ever see a blog in full flow, so am not sure how to get this thing off the ground.
So I won't waffle here. I'm quite a simple person with just a few interests

• God and being a keen-bean Christian - so will probably want to get some of my thoughts, ideas, heresies on here
• Technology - particularly that IBM WebSphere stuff that I've been brainwashed with since 2000
• Formula 1 - although I can guarantee that I can't add anything here on this that won't be found elsewhere

So that's me... enjoy reading, commenting, wondering why I'm even bothering :-)
